My toy poodle

Week 1 : July 3 2009 - Presenting.... TIM TAM


I finally got a dog!!! The nicest birthday present I ever had.... :) My hubby got it for me from the Pet's World Expo at Midvalley 2 weeks ago. It was an instantaneous decision. Everything happened so fast I was just overwhelmed!

His name is Tim Tam... It took me 2 days to come up with the perfect name for him. I did not want anything to directly represent anything in relation to his color brown. As usual, we got the range of 'brownie' to 'chocolate' to 'chue ku lek' to 'momo'. Sigh! So predictable.

Ed and I tried coming up with more unique names... Ed came up with 'D.J' and I, 'Mokona' (from the Tsubasa Chronicles cartoon series... The white fluffy thing is just so adorable. I thought something Japanese will be stunning... and different. However, it just cannot make it... It's not him.

I asked my godfamily for ideas...couldn't really come up with someting cute and unique till Serah mention Tim Tam. I loved it and hence, decided on it. It's just perfect... still brown and chocolaty but without being too obvious about it. :)

He is so likeable he creates instant attraction and impact on everyone he meets. Expecially my god sister, Keren. Should have ssen how she carried Tim Tam around each time. I urged her to get one for Lizzie... Pete said that if she does, it will actually be for herself instead of Lizzie. LOL!

In the midst of researching more of toy poodle breed... I need to potty train him fast!!! i don't want my in-laws to kill me when he pee pee and poo poo everywhere! I guess the plan is to send him to an obedient school soon!

A day at My Montessori

Glad to be back at kindy!!! Been a way for a week due to fever, cold, cough and throat infection!!!! This is the first time i looked forward to going back to work! How can anyone stay away from those lovely and adorable kids for even a single day?

I was afraid none of them will remember me, but as what Doe said (my principal) they definately will and can remember! Silly me!!! :P

Schedule in a brief:

8.30am :
Arrived @ kindy

8.30am - 9.30am :
Children's arrival and outdoor play

9.30am :
Circle time (this is when we teachers make a circle with the kids singing songs)

9.45am :
Cleaning time (kids washes hands before snack time - and they do it all by themselves,except 2 of 'em - Sebastian T. and Sashi)

9.45am - 10.30am :
Snack time + wash up. They had biscuit and apple.

10.30am - 11.00am :
Coloring time (this month's theme is revolving around 'occupation' - today the kids colored 'doctor' and 'cook'). A total of 10 'Masterpieces' of artwork from my potential artists! Actually it was more of a scribble; red face/yellow hands/blue
hair, so on... you get the jeez!

11.00am :
Mandarin class (should have recorded the kids trying to learn and speak in Mandarin!! Especially the 'kwai lo' kids.... i can't wipe my smile off my face the whole time. Which also equates to me learning some Mandarin!!! They did more coloring but this time, it was in Chinese - Mr. Postman and Mr Fireman. I totally have forgotten how it's said, dang!

11.30am :
Wash up and lunch time! They had pasta today! Most of them usually have 2nd servings! "I want more!"

12.00pm :
Bathe time (yeap! we bathe the kids!!!!)

12.30pm :
Nap time. Some will go home. We teachers will have our mini lunch.

1.30pm :
Wake up and play!

2.00pm :
Wash up and snack again! This time they had bun and grapes.

2.30pm :
Play time AGAIN!!!!

3.00pm :
Ms Wendy leaves the kindy and calls it a day! SIGHING happily but with a heavy heart to leave the children. :(

A 3 years thought has been put to action at looooooooong last! Yup!
To blog... I have kept diaries when i was 12 - 17 years old and never got to writing it once i started college.
Now entering into my 'oh so old for this and that' period of my life, i decided to give it a shot with my hubby's support and encouragement. Ooooooooo it's happening too fast! I don't know what to write, how to write - here's how it all started :


Last night at the 'makan place' in Sunway Mentari with my close buddy, Galvin and my hubby - Galvin was ranting on his new found interest in internet marketing. Me playing with 'Tower Bloxx 3D' on Ed's iPhone while Ed was listening to the oh so familiar topic patiently. Galvin shared with us that he has been blogging and making some money out of it and that made him interested to look into more options on how he can optimize his blog business. ( i was cursing at my disfunctional fingers / eyes coordination as the tower bloxx kept on missing it's targetted points - I am supposed to build towers as high as possible to earn a well populate city. For further info on the addictive game, google Tower Bloxx 3D ).

"Surprisingly, Wendy, i always thought you would have gone into blogging but you never did and i wonder why. That's the last thing i saw myself doing but hey i am a blogger now and i am enjoying every bit of it. It has improved on my grammar and style of writing and what's more! I AM MAKING SOME DARN US Dollars!" "So why in the world aren't you a blogger already?"

I stopped my game play and looked at him with the 'you must be kidding dude. Me???!!! Blog??!! I can't write for nuts and i don't have the flare for it and for whatever i am going to blog on, no one would have finished reading my thoughts and rants for goodness sake! I will bore everyone to death!' (Well, after the 'look' i gave, i translated the 'stare message' into words to him.)

"Aiyo Wendy, it does not matter. You write it your own style, your own way. No right or wrong to it. IT's YOU. Don't have to talk about flares and such. Let me ask you, do you like to b&*$@ about things?"

"YES!" (me with the guilty face)...

"So?! Just b&*$@ about things and there you have a blog! Easy..."

"Yeah easy!" My hubby seconded and echoed the affirmation. And it went on and on with all the goodness of blogging for about 20mins. Finally i said "Will see about it. But i still can't write for NUTS. Readers gonna be bored to death!!!!!"

AND IT STARTED ALL OVER AGAIN with the 2 devils trying to con me into blogging. but guess what? THEY WON!!! ARGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH So here I am, blogging about how this first blog of mine came to place and yadayada... I am soooooooooooo boring!!!! But the heck with it; ITS MY BLOG AND I AM ALLOWED TO JUST SAY ANYTHING I WANT!!!
